If you send me to Washington DC on November 5th, I'm going to get to work!
I have ideas on how this country can be saved. I've written two books filled with history lessons, ideas, and solutions entitled "Common Sense for California; A Guide to the New Revolution."
I'm a history nerd and a policy wonk. Getting to the House of Representatives would give me an opportunity to look to the past, to help better design the future.
The people deserve to be represented in Washington DC.
You might not agree on everything, but can we agree on 90% of what is important?
Cut the deficit, get to a surplus, issue a dividend.
This is how businesses are ran.
Alaskans are paid a dividend based on oil production. Natives based on Tribal Production. When America does well, I want Americans to do well!
The American Dividend is based on the previous quarter's GDP.
This will create a more informed and engaged voter, less likely to vote for wasteful spending, and will incentivize a balanced budget.
The American Dividend would create a government of, by, and for the people.
If we are going to run government like a business, we need to understand a good business has a product.
We are the richest country in the world.
We have abundant Oil, Natural Gas, Lithium, Uranium, Coal, and Water. We can pay for all of our social programs because we are a rich nation. Our resources are not managed properly. Our current system aims to capitalize on scarcity instead of banking on abundance.
America built 48 nuclear power plants in 5 years. Several Presidents worked towards a nuclear future. Zero people have been killed by nuclear energy in America.
What about PG&E in the last 10 years? Yet, we bail them out!
Nuclear energy is too efficient. It runs all our submarines and aircraft carriers. Yet, California shut down San Onofre and are shutting down Diablo Canyon!
500T Cubic Feet of Natural Gas, and they outlaw gas stoves.
An oil rich country, and they outlaw combustible engines.
Audit everything in government. Find the people's money. Abolish bureaucratic agencies. Properly utilize the people's money.
What happened to the Lottery money, which was supposed to save our schools?
What about the $10B in Bullet Train money (Prop1)? What about the $1.2B in annual Arts and Music Funding (Prop28)? What about the $7.5B in water infrastructure (Prop1A)? What about the $72M Salton Sea Restoration? What about the $24B for Homelessness?
We need to find the people's money.
A Term Limits Bill should be introduced allowing 12 years in both the House and the Senate.
2 6-year terms in the Senate.
6 2-year terms in the House of Representatives.
Members of the Congress and the Senate, and their dependent family members, should not be allowed to trade stocks during their time of service. This is a massive conflict of interest for our representatives.
There are 650,000 annual bankruptcies in America due to medical bills. 62% of all bankruptcies filed are due to medical debt, most have insurance.
The current system only serves big pharma, insurance companies, & bureaucrats, not doctors, nurses, providers, & patients.
A single payer system would cut redundancies, reduce costs, and better serve patients.
President Trump pledged to repeal and replace ObamaCare and he got one McCain vote short. Obamacare was not Healthcare. It was a broken health insurance mandate.
President Trump made a new Department of the Air Force; The Space Force. We can do the same thing with the Navy, which already has The United States Marine Corps as a Department, we can add The United States Medical Corps.
Americans pay more for healthcare than any nation in the world, and yet we are not covered. This must change.
Collective bargaining rights are critical.
Politicians have abandoned the American worker. The people must hold their unions responsible, as the American people must hold our government responsible.
Unions will lead the way to America's future and are overwhelmingly a force for good, especially when it comes to keeping wealth in our communities.
California lawmakers have decriminalized crime. We need to get tough on sex crime, sex predators, violent crime, & drug trafficking.
Decriminalizing crime has incentivized crime and hurts small businesses, and people in our community.
We need to fund mental health centers, rehabilitation services, and mental health programs. If we are going to destigmatize mental health, we need to start the conversation.
No taxes on Social Security! These wages have already been taxed when we paid into the system. Retirees shouldn't have to leave to CA to retire. Inflated Property taxes, insurance, & cost of living have pushed 10%+ of seniors below the poverty line. retirement ages & requirements keep rising. Work should be a fun hobby in our golden years, not something done to avoid economic devastation.
The solutions to our problems are here. Nuclear, Desalination, oil, coal, Lithium. Bring America into the future, get Americans to work, add revenue to GDP.
These entities have been at play for far too long denying the American people, and people throughout the world, their sovereignty.
What you tolerate abroad, comes home eventually.
Return important work to localities. Reallocate funding to states & localities, with oversight by an elected official.
Invest in desalination, canals, and damns. Utilize water pipelines. Empower California farmers to grow America's food here. Make California Farms green again. We are an agriculture state. Big Agriculture is taking over our state, ruining our food, and contributing to the sickness of the American people.
Defense starts at the border. Respect sovereign nations. Reinvest 1/2 of $883B annual defense budget directly into the United States. The American people fund 70% of the world's authoritarian dictatorships. The DOD has failed 6 consecutive audits, unable to account for 61% of $3.5T, and this is before operable weapons systems were left behind in Afghanistan.
Fix the broken VA system. Take care of our Troops. Legislators who understand violence are less likely to legislate violence to others. We need Representatives who advocate for peace as aggressively as our current legislators advocate for war. Congress is the body who declares war and hasn't declared war since World War II. This is not the way our system of checks and balances was designed to work.
School choice for parents. Parents shouldn't have to trust their children's future to a failing school, or a lottery. Bring trades, certificates, & licensing programs into Schools. Create "Teacher's Assistants" to work alongside Teachers to limit class sizes and lessen the burden for teachers. The Public University System was designed to be public. Student loans should not exist. Give young people an opportunity to launch, start careers, start families, pay taxes, and become home-owners.
Save the American Dream. Affordability is #1 issue for the homeless in California. Multi-national corporations like Blackrock, Vanguard, and State Street have overly commoditized housing.
Lend at a reduced rate for buyers purchasing Single-Family-Homes as their primary residence.
The government wants to demilitarize the people, while simultaneously further militarizing police and federal entities.
Our greatest protection from invasion is our Second Amendment and the American people. An armed society is a polite society, and armed people are harder to oppress.
The problem is we have a war-like culture because we are a country always at war. We have been desensitized to violence. It's in all our video games and movies.
General Smedley Butler wrote "War is a Racket" in 1935, General Eisenhower warned of "The Military Industrial Complex" in 1961, and America has the failure of Vietnam and Afghanistan behind us.
It is time to learn from our mistakes.
Democrats want war in Ukraine, Republicans war in Israel. I know the good and just thing to do in both situations is to work towards peace.
Our problems and our solutions are here. If we don't act accordingly, we run the risk of physical or financial destruction.
Too often government doesn't do it right the first time with the initial investment and so it costs more in the long run.
Underground transmission lines are not only more efficient, accessible, and safer once they are built, they are also esthetically more pleasing.
Riverside was built when America still built beautiful cities. We must maintain the integrity of our home and prepare ourselves properly for the future.
I'm pro-consenting adults doing what they want to do in the appropriate places.
When your rights infringe on another person's rights it becomes a problem.
There is no reason for men to be in women's spaces, sports, locker rooms, bathrooms, etc.
I can have compassion and love for someone without abandoning reason and common sense.
I'm Pro-Choice to the point of viability.
I'm pro-consenting adults doing what they want to do with their lives, and in their bedrooms.
Marriage is a Sacrament. Government should not be involved in making a business out of Sacraments.
When you conquer a country...
Turn an education system into an indoctrination system.
Destroy healthcare.
Destroy local farms.
Destroy energy infrastructure.
Morally and financially bankrupt the people.
Keep people incarcerated and medicated.
Control natural resources and ration them back at inflated costs.
Do not allow business ownership, or homeownership.
Control the narrative and the media.
Divide the people.
Keep them entertained.
They won't realize they have been conquered.
Sound familiar?
Our neighbors are not our enemies.
We have to get out of the echo chambers to find common ground to stand on, build coalitions, & get organized.
It's not Left vs Right, it's time to unite!
Representatives need to do their best to represent everyone in their districts, not just the people in their respective camp.
President Reagan said “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is an 80 percent friend - not a 20 percent enemy.”
Do we agree on 80% of the above?
